Caroline “Dankse” Dandridge was an author out of Shepherdstown, West Virginia. She was born in November 1854 in Denmark and died in June 1914. She based most of her writings on gardening and history. She wrote over 200 gardening articles, at least 149 poems and 4 books named "Historic Shepherdstown," "George Michael Bedinger: Kentucky Pioneer", "American Prisoners of the Revolution," and an unpublished manuscript about General St. Clair.
