The human race had repeatedly ignored divinty and rejected paradise. Divided and on an unwavering path of self-destruction, they are left to fend for themselves. The eternal powers that be are left to the Guardians who are no angels, but were once valiant mortals who had proved themselves worthy. They are the ghosts of heroes, humanity's last effort to protect and reclaim what was discarded.
